Questions about automated SEO, access and your data
What is automated SEO?
Software that does recurring SEO work on a schedule. GO BEST SEO scans your WordPress site every two days (daily on Extra), explains what it finds, fixes weak titles, descriptions and alt text once you allow it, drafts posts for your approval and reports every Monday.
Does it replace an SEO agency?
Not entirely. It does the recurring checks and small on-page fixes and records every change, but it doesn’t plan strategy, get links from other sites or change code. Many sites use both: SEO software vs an SEO agency.
How long until I see results in Google?
Nobody can promise rankings or a date, and we don’t. Google decides when to read a page again and how to rank it, so a change can take days or months to show, and some never move. The Monday report follows your Search Console numbers over time.
Which websites does it work with?
WordPress sites, at launch. The site has to be served over HTTPS, use any permalink setting except Plain, and have WordPress installed at the root of the domain, not in a sub-folder such as /blog. Shopify, Wix and Webflow aren’t supported.
Do I need to install a WordPress plugin?
No. We connect through the WordPress REST API with an Application Password you create for one user. Nothing is installed on your site, and you can revoke the password at any time.
What access do you need, exactly?
Read-only access to your Google Search Console property, through our service address that you add as a user, and a WordPress Application Password for one user. Never your Google or WordPress password.
What do automatic fixes change, and is it safe?
Only page titles, meta descriptions and image alt text, never content or code, and only after you allow it, up to your plan’s limit per scan. A second AI model reviews each change, we check the live page, and every change can be undone. Posts wait for your approval by default.
Does it work with Yoast SEO?
Yes, side by side. We always update titles and alt text. Descriptions go into Yoast’s field only where the WordPress REST API lets us write it, which a standard Yoast install doesn’t; otherwise they appear in your findings. GO BEST SEO and Yoast SEO.
Can I undo a change?
Yes. Every change is listed with its before and after on the Changes page. Undo one change, or undo all of them at once. Once you undo a change, we don’t write it again.
Who approves posts?
You do, by default. A suggested post waits for your approval and is deleted 48 hours after we email it if you don’t decide. You can switch to automatic publishing after an explicit confirmation, and even then a post with sentences worth double-checking waits for you. Any published post can be returned to draft.
What if I miss a few suggestions?
If three suggestions in a row expire without a decision, or you haven’t signed in for 30 days, we pause post suggestions and email you once. They resume the next time you sign in. Scans, fixes and the Monday report keep running.
Do you show which sites link to mine?
Yes, on Pro and Extra: the sites that link to yours, the anchor text, whether each link is followed, and new and lost links, as our own crawler saw them on the linking pages. Backlink monitoring.
Which languages are supported?
Hebrew and English. You choose the language of the app, of your reports and of your emails, and separately the language of your site. Everything we write for your site, from titles to posts, follows the site’s language.
When does the trial start, and what does it include?
The 7 days start when your Search Console connection is verified, not when you sign up. They include a scan every 2 days of up to 10 pages, up to 5 automatic fixes per scan if you allow them, and the Monday report, without posts or backlinks.
What happens when the trial ends?
Scans and fixes stop, and you can still sign in and read everything. Ask for Pro or Extra from the app to continue. If you don’t, we delete the stored Application Password 30 days later, and until then you can still undo all automatic changes.
Where is my data, and who processes it?
On Google Cloud (Firebase). Google’s Gemini reviews fixes, drafts posts and helps find backlinks; Anthropic’s Claude analyzes audits and proposes fixes when enabled; Atlas Cloud creates post images. The draft privacy policy lists every provider.
Can I close my account and delete my data?
Yes, from the app, after an optional export. You can first return our posts to draft and undo all automatic changes. Revoke the Application Password in WordPress and remove our address from Search Console yourself. Backups and providers keep copies for a limited time, as the privacy policy explains.
Which time zone do you use?
Israel time, for everyone. Scans normally run at night, the report arrives on Monday mornings, and suggestion emails are only sent during the day.
How do I join, and what does it cost?
The beta is by invitation. If you have an invitation link, open it to sign up; if not, ask us for an invitation. There are no prices yet: during the beta our team assigns plans by hand, and pricing will be announced at launch.
How do I get help?
Write to us through the GO BEST SEO contact page. Include your site’s address, and never send a password or an Application Password. Many answers are also in our WordPress SEO guides.
